A door for backyard observers
Start with the sky you can see from where you are.
This demonstration shows the kind of small, creator-owned community door FYN can build today.
Big Sky Backyard Astronomy is for people who are learning the night sky with binoculars, a small telescope, a camera, or no equipment at all. It is not a social network, club-management system, event platform, or shared publishing space.
The purpose of this door is simple: describe who the space is for, collect a few useful resources, and point people toward the places where astronomy communities and reliable information already exist.
You may belong here if…
- You are learning constellations from a backyard, porch, campsite, or city park.
- You want practical observing resources without buying a large amount of equipment first.
- You are looking for a local club, public star party, or experienced observer.
- You care about dark skies and responsible outdoor lighting.
